„Without a doubt - God could have created a better berry than the raspberry ... But obviously he didn´t.“ Izaak Walton (1593 - 1683)
The rastberry is being called the queen of berries. Roman historian Plinius as well as the author Vergil praised the forest fruit as one of the most special.
The herb specialist Jocobus Theodorus wrote in hius famous book „Digitalisat“ from 1588: „Raspberries are a beautiful, joyful, amicable and lovely fruit/once eaten, they quench the thirst/agree with the hot and choleric stomach/and are well for those with hot kidneys.“ A toast to the raspberries then! Our raspberries were lucky to be soaked in a beautifully fresh vinegar. From here they raise as a special delicacy as aperitif or digestif to fine fruit salads, sorbets, cocktails, Champagne and best sparkling wines, terrines, prawns, pastries and many more delicacies of the world.
