Apple and kiwi compote with "When butterflies laugh" - vinegar
Ingredients
- 500g soft apples
- 250g fresh kiwi fruit
- 100 g dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp brown cane sugar
- 2 tbsp "When butterflies laugh" - vinegar
- 50g almonds in fine slices for garnish
Preparation
Peel the apples and kiwis and cut into small pieces. Dissolve the cane sugar in a saucepan with 2-3 tablespoons of water. Add apple and kiwi pieces. Let simmer on low heat until soft. "When butterflies laugh" - add vinegar. Mash the soft fruits with a pounder. Add the cranberries and stir. Let it steep briefly. Serve the compote in small bowls and garnish with the almond slivers. If you like it creamy: serve with some whipped cream.
